During the 2011 Three Villages Festival, over 100 volunteers gave their time, talents and energy to make the event a success. This inspiring initiative is continuing both this year and next.
The Festival aims to celebrate all that is great about village life in the 21st Century. It provides a unique opportunity for the people of Cradley, Mathon and Storridge to come together and use their interests and talents to entertain local people and visitors.
All profits raised by Festival events are ploughed back into voluntary groups and clubs at the heart of community life – a total of £6000 for 2011.
The next weekend Festival will take place in 2013 on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd June but in the meantime, the fundraising and fun continue with two special evenings planned for June 2012.
On Friday 15th June a London-based group who sing close harmony will perform a concert in Cradley Church - click here for more information. On Saturday 30th June there is to be a Regency Evening at the Old Rectory, Cradley and you can find out more about it here.
Work on the 2013 festival has already begun. The theme will be 'Oriental' - a broad canvas that will inspire creative events including cooking, batik, dancing, music and oriental tableaus. If you would like to be involved please contact us.
